Goldsborough Station is a 13,473 ha backgrounding property for the surplus of heifers from NAPCO’s breeder properties, prior to their consignment into Wainui Feedlot. Cattle mainly graze on pasture, with the assistance of 2000ac of fodder throughout the winter months and occasionally a summer fodder program as well.

The role

Reporting to the Station Manager, we are currently seeking an experienced Machine Operator to work in a permanent full-time position at our Goldsborough Station (approx. 45km north-west of Roma QLD).

Ideally the successful candidate will:

  • Have experience operating machinery – predominantly a late model Grader and Farming Tractors
  • Have sound mechanical knowledge of equipment
  • Have experience determining machine maintenance requirements and undertaking pre-start/shut-down procedures
  • Hold the appropriate licences to operate the above-mentioned machinery
  • Be reliable, honest and hard-working, with a passion for operating machinery
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be able to work in a team and on your own

Having cattle and water maintenance knowledge, combined with experience undertaking similar duties on a station would be highly regarded.

Pre-employment requirements
