Goldsborough Station is a 13,473 ha backgrounding property for the surplus of heifers from the Company’s breeder properties, prior to their consignment into Wainui Feedlot. Cattle mainly graze on pasture, with the assistance of 2000ac of fodder throughout the winter months and occasionally a summer fodder program as well.

The role

Reporting to the Station Manager, we are currently seeking a Stockperson to work in a permanent full-time position at our Goldsborough Station (approx. 45km north-west of Roma QLD).

Day to day duties include:

  • Cattle mustering on motorbikes, handling cattle at arrival, drafting and dispatch, maintaining fences, stock water and supplying supplements
  • Experience undertaking similar duties on a station would be highly regarded, though not essential
  • We will provide on the job training

Ideally the successful candidate will:

  • Be a self-motivated, energetic person capable of undertaking livestock work in a calm and controlled manner, along with undertaking general property maintenance
  • Be someone who enjoys working in a team but also can work individually
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have neat and tidy work habits

We have a small crew who work well together and pride ourselves on having a good team environment. Therefore, the successful candidate will be honest and reliable and have a positive attitude with a friendly personality.
